A Social Media Initiative: Save the Poudre Coalition
Challenge: To engage participation in the Save the Poudre campaign, an environmental initiative that sought to stop construction of a dam anticipated to dry up the Cache la Poudre River – a river that at that time had been designated the third most endangered river in America.
Solution: A targeted social media campaign that included development and promotion of an online petition, creating and establishing social network presence and online content push.
Results: We increased public awareness of the “Save the Poudre” initiative by garnering local online and traditional media coverage of the campaign, establishing and popularizing online community profiles and engaging environmental enthusiasts by encouraging them to sign our petition and visit the Save the Poudre website to learn how they could take further action.
